I have always been a creative at heart. I love to paint, draw, plan trips, organize, decorate, and the list goes on. From a very young age, my mom exposed me to photography. She has always had a passion for capturing moments through photography. Fun fact, we actually left the hospital when I was born and stopped by the mall to get my pictures taken before I ever went home for the first time. Growing up, I had scrapbooks and albums for every big life event. Looking back, I am very thankful she captured all those moments throughout my life to look back on and truly cherish the value a photograph can bring.
My mom’s love for photography was most definitely passed along to me. Like many others, I had the disposable cameras, point and shoot digital cameras, and of course the mile long phone camera roll. I decided to invest in a nice professional camera and learn everything there is to know about photography, starting a business, camera settings, editing, client experience, and more. I put my knowledge to the test by practicing with family and nature until I started offering some creative sessions to grow my portfolio. Finally, a dream of starting my own business came to life and the journey of Michaela Crawford Photography began.
